- Overly complex characters, scenes and poses. If you have questions about what this entails, feel free to ask!
(I have an adult account, but I haven't gotten commission information up for it yet--if you are interested in any NSFW art, feel free to message me to inquire about prices!)
PAYMENT
- I use Paypal invoices, unless you are going through my Commiss.io (which accepts credit card).
- I will send a Paypal invoice AFTER I have approved your request.
- DO NOT SEND ME MONEY UNLESS YOU HAVE RECEIVED AN INVOICE!
- Any money sent without my asking for it will be refunded.
- All commissions must be paid upfront.
WIPS, EDITS and CHANGES
- I will send a WIP during my lineart stage for approval.
- Please note that if you do not get back to me in a timely manner, it may push your commission's completion date to later than it may have been otherwise. If you do not respond within a week, you forfeit a the right to a full refund if the commission takes over 3 months to complete.
- I will do minor edits during the lineart stage of a commission.
- I will NOT make edits that are drastic changes from the initially agreed upon commission. E.g. you cannot change the character, the design elements given in references, dramatic pose changes, scene changes, etc.
- If you want a change (like the examples given above), it will cost you a 50% fee PER EDIT. This is primarily to persuade against doing something like that--again, MAKE SURE YOU ARE CLEAR IN YOUR REQUEST.
- I am willing to do VERY minor edits after the lineart stage (slight tweaks in color, markings, etc.).
- Once the image is completed and approved, I will not do any edits without compensation. If you do not get back to me within 30 days of being sent your commission, I will consider the commission approved.
- If there is a mistake on my end--e.g. I did not follow the reference accurately, or I didn’t read the details properly--those things will be changed with no charge, even after completion.
- Please don't hesitate to tell me if I've made a mistake! Sometimes details slip through the cracks, but I want my commissioners to leave satisfied with their art!
REQUESTS and REFERENCES
- I may decline requests for any reason. Just because you have made a request, it does not mean I have to accept your commission.
- When you make a request and give me the details and references for your commission, please be as concise and clear as you possibly can.
- Please give me up to three image references if possible, and please make sure you give me the most accurate and clear references that you have. I will refuse requests with text-based descriptions, more than three images, or unclear references.
- If there are conflicting details on your references, it is up to you to tell me which details you would like included in your commission. Otherwise, I will assume the decision is being left up to me.
- You cannot change the details of your request once it has been approved and you have sent payment. E.g. you cannot change the character, the design elements given in references, dramatic pose changes or scene changes, etc.
- It is up to you to know what you want before coming to me with a request, and to communicate that as clearly as possible.
- Any commissions that say "Wing-It" in the description leave room for artistic license regarding pose.
- YOU MUST OWN OR HAVE PERMISSION TO USE THE CHARACTER YOU ARE COMMISSIONING ART OF. I will do work for a friend as a gift, but I must know it is a gift so I can credit the character as belonging to them.
- Do not ask me to draw someone else’s character for you as ‘personalized.’ E.g. “this rabbit, but pink with purple spots”.
REGARDING STYLE & ARTISTIC LIBERTY
- Understand that as the artist, I will work within my specific style. When you commission me, you are giving me the liberty to work within my own style, and to make design choices that suit my own artistic senses.
- PLEASE BE FAMILIAR WITH MY STYLE BEFORE COMMISSIONING ME.
- Know how I approach different species, body types, shapes, fur, clothing, color, line art, etc. If you have any questions regarding things you don't see in my galleries, feel free to ask!
- Regarding edits, I ask you don't request changes that impact my own stylization of your character. Especially not after lineart approval.
- Most importantly, I will NOT draw your character in another artist's style. Do not ask.
- In terms of color, understand that I approach all my pieces with relative color in mind and use heavy texture overlays. This means the final colors in the piece you receive may not be identical to colors on your references. Unless I have chosen the wrong color (e.g. purple instead of blue, or light grey instead of dark grey), I will not change colors on your final piece.
REFUNDS
- I have the right to cancel and refund, in full, any commission at any time for any reason. This reason does not have to be disclosed to the commissioner.
- If you want to request a refund from me, I will refund you in full ONLY if no work has been started yet.
- If you want a refund after I have already started work, I will refund you an amount roughly equal to how much work has been completed, i.e. 50% refund if I have completed half the work. You will receive the WIP.
- If I have taken over 3 months to complete your commission, I will refund you in full by request, regardless of whether I have done work on it or not.
- You cannot have a refund for being “dissatisfied” with a commission after completion and approval.
- If I have made an error (as in, I have missed details included in the original request) with your commission, and I am unable or unwilling to fix the mistake, I will then refund you 50%. Y
RIGHTS and AGREEMENTS
- By commissioning me, you agree to these terms as soon as you send payment.
- You agree to my general time frame of completing a commission within 2 months of your payment. (Furry art is not my only job, but I try to get commissions done as promptly as possible!)
- You (or your giftee) will retain all rights to the characters you have me draw.
- I (the artist) retain all rights to the images I create. That means I can repost it, make prints or alterations where I see fit. In all fairness, publishing in online galleries is about all I will end up doing with your commissions. If I want to use your commission for something other than posting online, I will do you the courtesy of asking first.
- If you do not want me publicly posting your commission, you must pay a 25% fee to keep it private and for me to give up use of it. Please request this up-front.
- I also will post art without credit, if you want to remain anonymous, but not pay the fee. Please request this up-front.
- You may post any commissions you’ve received in online galleries as long as I am properly credited as the artist, and linked back to one of my accounts (FA, Tumblr, Weasyl, Twitter, Toyhou.se, etc).
- You may alter the art I create specifically for you, e.g. coloring linework, cropping for avatars or IDs, color filters for effect. Any alterations are fine AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT CLAIM THE ORIGINAL WORK AS YOUR OWN. I just ask you don’t mock or deface the work I make for you with alterations. Do not be insulting. Please.
(If you are an artist and would like to copy and use this TOS for your own, you may do so! Credit is not necessary :> )
